Got the radio bug again. I remember the good old days when I talked across the pond to England, turning off power we still had excellent copy at 12 watts ssb. I just purchased an anytone at5555n. There is nothing to hear much right now. almost nothing. So I am waiting for that day when the band opens.
I have a ham license but I do like the other band!! I use the radio in my van and if you consider the lower freq bands you will find that a much larger and expensive antenna is needed.
Hope the band opens soon,,although I know that may not come soon at all

It would be nice if the DX was a lot better down in the south pacific, looking forward to more come back for the new antenna.
